This New Year’s – I had one major resolution (aside from finding true love, and making great films), and that was to “be surrounded by likeminded people”. You know, the kind of folks you can grow with, vent with, and then when it’s all said and done, laugh with…till you’re blue in the face.

In other words: kindred spirits.

And wouldn’t you know it, I got my wish!

On April 27th, BlueCentric threw a fundraiser birthday party to celebrate the site turning two. That night, two bands, a solo vocalist, 70+ partygoers, and even a pair of friendly cops (courtesy of a cranky neighbor)- all showed up to spread love.

For days afterward – people kept email, texting, and calling me to say what a great time they’d had. It seemed like the high of the festivities just wouldn’t wash off. So I figured it meant the whole weekend was blessed.

But one great weekend, snowballed into a great week, which then turned into yet another great weekend – until finally it hit some of us – “OMG. It’s been 10 days of awesome!”

The second this dawned on me – I grabbed my camera and took as many pics as I could, to capture all the good vibes that were swirling around. Granted, the video below is a pretty small fraction of what happened. But it still manages to illustrate that happiness truly is contagious.
